The Eastern Car Liner, Ltd. (ECL) of Japan signed a joint venture agreement with the management of Cordial Shipping, Inc. to man their managed, owned and chartered vessel, effective this year.
After the Alam Maju, a 2nd vessel, Million Bell, was given to the company to be manned by our Filipino crew by Japanese Shipowners, Orix Maritime Co., Ltd. She is managed by Fukujin Kisen Co., Ltd.
With the impending implementation of MLC 2006, manning agencies and training centers are scrambling to be accredited with ISO9001:2008 for their Principals and Management companies to be also accredited with the MLC.
