"CARDINAL VICTORY" DELIVERY
“When it rains, it pours.” This is the current adage of the company as another cape size bulk carrier vessel was delivered anew by its efficient and proficient Filipino crewmembers.
Cardinal Victory is the 5th (4 cape and 1 handy) new delivery bulk carrier, aside from its other newly acquired ships, for the year.
A cape size bulk carrier with a burden of 200,000 DWT, she was delivered at Tsuneishi Shipbuildyard at Balamban, Cebu, Philippines on July 04, 2011.
She is manned by mixed crew of Korean Senior Officers from our Principals, Kyung Yil Shipping Co., Ltd., Busan, Korean and Filipino Junior Officers and rating from the company.
The delivery was graced by its Owners, one of Japan’s biggest shipping company, Fukujin Kisen Co., Ltd., Ehime, Japan’s President, Mr. Toshiyuki Seno, with its officers and staffs.
The occasion was also attended by the officers of the ship’s bankers, The Sumitomo Trust and Banking Co, Ltd. and its insurers, Tokio Marine and Nichido Insurance Co., Ltd. and all other concern parties.
Her engines thrusted her towards her maiden voyage at 2348 LT on the 05th of July 2011 to Port Headland thru Singapore to load Iron Ore.
After the delivery ceremony at Tsuneishi Shipbuildyard, Balamban, Cebu on 04th July 2011, the officers and staffs of Fukujin Kisen Co., Ltd., The Sumitomo Trust and Banking Co, Ltd. and Tokio Marine and Nichido Insurance Co., Ltd. returned to Manila to continue the celebration.
After checking in at Diamond Hotel, the group proceeded to the Taouen Chinese Restaurant for a sumptuous dinner. Then it was karaoke time for the men at Ceasar of Pan Pacific Hotel.
On the 05th of July 2011, as part of their trip in Manila, the group visited the company and FSC Training Center.
The guests were welcome by all officers and staffs of the company with orchid corsage for the gentlemen and sampaguita garlands for the ladies.
After the simple welcome, they toured the Fair Building and the Ignacia House, where the Fukujin Kisen Manila Representative office is currently billeted.
The visit progressed at FSC Training Center, where the guests were given background on the history and current status of the company, Fair Shipping Corp. , its affiliated companies and Philippine manning.
They toured the building from penthouse (crew dormitory), 4th floor (gym and canteen), 3rd floor (electro hydraulics and pneumatics and library), 2nd floor (Bridge and Engine Simulator), where they were treated live on its usages and down to the ground floor (main training and welding and lathe machine).
At 1100 hrs, the group left the company for a nice lunch at Tanabe Japanese Restaurant and were directly drived to the airport to catch there 1400 hrs flights to their respective destination of Tokyo and Osaka, Japan.
It was a great day of information and exchange of ideas and thoughts for the betterment of Filipino crew.
