THE COMPANY WELCOME’S BACK FUKUNAGA KAIUN CO., LTD.
The company cordially welcomes back our Japanese Owners/Principals, the Fukunaga Kaiun Co., Ltd., Oita, Japan.
The Fukunaga Kaiun Co., Ltd./Easy Marine, Inc. is one of the pioneer Owners/Principals of the company, under the tutelage of Mr. Shoichiro Fukunaga, President.
The company previously manned at least 6-10 vessels from them, i.e. Bulker, Ro-Ro and LPG vessels, since 1995. But, some vessels were either sold or transferred management and manning Agency, which severed the good relationship of the companies.
The last vessel manned by our company Owned by them was the semi-ref LPG Tanker vessel, MT Global Express No. 2, which was unfortunately sold to new Owners last April 15, 2011.
After more than 1 year, the commitment of Fukunaga Kaiun to support the company and our pledge to maintain good relationship with them in providing good crew to manned their good vessels, continuous.
This April, the newly build handy size bulk carrier, Furness Victoria was awarded by them to be manned by our company’s diligent and experienced full Filipino crew, to meet the commitment of both companies
Under the command of our good Master and Chief Engineer, Capt. Delfin R. Labalan and C/E Paquito B. Pilario, the Furness Victoria was delivered at Kawasaki Shipbuildyard in Sakaide Japan with an extravagant delivery ceremony.
Our Chairman, C/E Tae Gi Min, was invited to attend the ceremony, but was unfortunately unable to attend due to previous commitments. But, we were properly represented by our competent and diligent crew.
At 1530 hrs the same day, after the lavish delivery ceremony, her Owners and other concern parties bid her good voyage towards her maiden voyage from Sakaide to load coal at Hay Point, Australia for Paradip, India.
A warm appreciation to Fukunaga Kaiun for the trust and confidence given to Filipino crew; and, good riddance to Furness Victoria for her bon voyage!
