FAIR SHIPPING CORPORATION SHINES ON THE GLOBAL MARITIME STAGE

FAIR Shipping Corporation proudly participated in Seatrade Maritime Crew Connect Global 2026, held on October 20–22, 2026, at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila. Representing the company, Ms. Christene Genotiva-Jovita, Assistant Crewing Manager, had the opportunity to connect, network, and exchange insights with maritime professionals and industry leaders from around the world. During the prestigious Awards Night, Ms. Jovita, together with Mrs. Maria Lorena Reyes, represented our very own Capt. Emerson M. Reyes—the lone Filipino finalist for the Seafarer of the Year Award—bringing immense pride and recognition to FAIR Shipping Corporation on the international stage.

A proud alumnus of the PMMA–FSC/FJL Cadetship Programme, Class of 2015, Capt. Reyes has been nurtured and developed within the company since his cadetship. His contributions extend far beyond the bridge as a maritime educator, researcher, seafarer advocate, and champion of lifelong learning. He is also an internationally recognized maritime and transport photographer, capturing the often-unseen realities and stories of life at sea through his lens.

Adding to this milestone, Capt. Reyes has also been named a finalist for the Seafarer of the Year Award at The Mission to Seafarers' Seafarers Awards 2026, scheduled for November 13 in Singapore. He hopes to attend the event personally, subject to a timely disembarkation. These international accolades reflect not only his personal dedication and achievements but also FSC’s enduring commitment to nurturing Filipino maritime talent and promoting excellence across the industry.

From our ships to the shore, and from the Philippines to the global maritime community, FAIR Shipping Corporation remains committed to developing maritime professionals, empowering Filipino seafarers, and fostering excellence across generations.

Congratulations, Capt. Reyes! Your FAIR Shipping family is incredibly proud of you!
