THREE(3) JAPANESE SHIPOWNERS MADE COURTESY CALL TO THE COMPANY
Ships will come abound this year as 3 of our Japanese Principals/Shipowners made courtesy calls in the company last April.
Our Japanese Shipowners, Fukujin Kisen Co., Ltd., Ehime, Japan, headed by its President, Mr. T. Seno and Directors, Capt. M. Shinohara and Mr. S.I. An, visited first.
They discussed manning matters in the Philippines and interviewed our Filipino crew for their two (2) new delivery vessels last April 11-14, 2011, for cape size bulk carriers, Cape Infinity and Shin Koho, both to be delivered in May 2011. With them are FSC Chairman, Mr. TG Min, Vice-President, Engr. EC Baronda and Crewing Director, Capt. WK Min
They were fully satisfied with the composition of crew they interviewed for their above vessels; and, they promised that 3 more cape size bulk carriers will be given to the company this year, the Cardinal Victory in June, Lowland Sunrise in July and one TBN in September 2011.
They particularly asked for a well experienced, competent, healthy and trained crew for their incoming vessels, with the interview scheduled on May 18-21, for crew of Cardinal Victory and Lowlands Sunrise.
Also on April 11, 2011, Santoku Senpaku Co., Ltd., Osaka, Japan, also headed by its President, Mr. Masashi Taga and 4 of its managers, visited the office
They were graciously welcomed by FSC Chairman, Mr. TG Min and presented them the company’s education system and were toured at FSC Training Center.
Convinced with the capability of Filipino crew, especially of the company’s crew, they promised more vessels this year. Container and bulk carrier vessels were promised to be manned by FSC crew, in addition to the Lowlands Scheldt.
FSC Filipino crew for Lowlands Scheldt already left Manila, last April 14 & 25, 2011 for Kanda Shipbuildyard for the preparation of her delivery on May 10, 2011.
And, on April 13 and 15, 2011, managers from Eastern Car Liner, Ltd., Tokyo, Japan visited the company headed by Mr. Satoru Chiyoda, Deputy General Manager and Mr. Hiroki Kato, Assistant Manager. They were accompanied by Mr. Tommy Ma, President of Janfield Shipping Ltd., Hongkong, Principals of Cordial Shipping, Inc.
Mr. TG Min and CSI President, Capt. DC Besana courteously welcomed them and were accompanied to visit their representative office at FSC Training Center.
Manning matters, crew education, etc., tops the agenda for their visit with discussion on latest engine troubles on their ships.
Just like the other shipowners, ECL promised the company that by the end of June, 1 new delivery handy size bulk carrier will be given to CSI.
